Kindergarten

With home based care being a popular choice for our smallest children from Three years old our children need to begin the preparation for the school independance and transition.
Rolleston and local children now have a choice to utilise our NEW kindergarten (Kindy).
The Kindy is open 4 days per week from 9am to 3pm. Enrollments are structured where the oldest children begin first on the waiting list.(from around 3 children can do mornings and 3.5 can start some afternoons, by 4 they are able to do full days.

Three year olds visit and learn from 9am to 12, where we have 30 children. Each afternoon the oldest stay on (20 students) till 3pm to have school time and sing phonic songs, pencil skills and mathmatical puzzles.

Selwyn Toddlers Kindy focuses on school transition, getting the children comfortable with groups and learning many school skills, listening and being given opportunities to express themselves.
