WINZ - Work and Income NZ
WINZ offer subsidies to those either not working or those with low income. You maybe entitled to 9 hours if you are not working and 50 hours if you are employed.
Low income families can get assistance funding. Visit there website for more information. Up to $3.84 per hour, and up to 50 hours per week.
WINZ subsidies can take up to 3 weeks to arrive, you must phone WINZ to lodge your child ASAP. They can then backpay any subsidies to that date.
Free ECE for three and five year olds
All Three and four year old children living in New Zealand are entitled to 20 Hours Free childcare with licensed childcare Facilities.
20 hours each week from when your child turn 3, until they are 5.
Selwyn Toddlers have Attestation forms that need to be fulled in before your subsidy can be administered. Our Free ECE equates to $4.50 per hour paid childcare, up to 20 hours and no more than 6 hours per day.
You may split your 20 free hour between childcare facilies, but you can not claim over 20 hours in total.
OSCARS Subsides for 5 to 14 years
When a company licenses with Child Youth and Family they are able to offer WINZ subsidies to school age children of upto $3.84 per hour.
Selwyn Toddlers offer Winz for ages 0 to 14 years of age.
